Arenal Majorca

The coastal resort of Arenal often referred to as El Arenal or S'Arenal can be found on the south coast of Majorca approximately 12 km's from the islands capital Palma. Arenal is a lively purpose built holiday resort which is only around fifteen minutes transfer time from the local airport. Arenal is situated at the eastern end of a 6km stretch of beach which also caters for the nearby resorts of C'Pastilla and Playa Palma which are joined by a promenade which runs through all of the resorts.

Arenal is not really a resort which is best suited to families and is very popular with single 18 to 30's and attracts visitors from all over Europe, particularly Germany. There are plenty of very lively bars and clubs for those who wish to party until dawn.
The beach is where most people head for during the day to soak up the Majorcan sun.

There is a wide range of hotels of varying size and quality in Arenal, with plenty of budget accommodation on offer. For those who decide they want to self cater Arenal offers some good apartment complexes near to the beach.
